It would not connect and register with the EtherCAT network causing me a lot of frustration in troubleshooting LinuxCNC. It was not until I put my hand near the module and discovered the intense heat radiating from it that I deduced the EtherCAT bus was fried in it. I contacted the seller and received a reply in less then 24 hours and they have agreed to refund me the cost of the module.

While they do NOT appear to have any visible damage, they could have been damaged easily with NO protection. I have NOT had the opportunity to power them up yet to confirm operation.
