Leaving positive feedback only because I purchased the tank knowing it might not be right for my 71 sportster. It was cheap enough and I could turn around and sell it. That being said the description led me to believe it fit a 76 sportster and as far as my research has led me to believe it should fit a 71. Not sure if the bike it was taken off of was modified but this tank doesn’t fit my 71. The tank also appears to be a newer remanufactured replica but not sure there either.
