Our products are made of a blend of natural alpaca and synthetic fibres for a very good reason. 100% Alpaca products would not be machine washable or keep their shape. In order for our wonderfully soft and strong Alpaca products to be durable as well as comfortable, our alpaca fiber is blended with acrylic fibres (20%). The quality of our products is easy to distinguish to the touch - just compare them with products from the supermarket.

Per tag, 80% Alpaca, 20% Acrylic. Listing is not clear that it is not 100% alpaca.
The red is not a bright red like my computer monitor showed. It is a deep red. I prefer this darker shade of red. The inside is black.
It is still a nice poncho. I like that it has a hood, most do not.
It will be nice to wear in my home office, which is rather cold in winter, better than the blanket I have been using as a wrap.
