    If your carburetor didn't work, the first thing is to disassemble it and clean it. If the problem continues, then you may replace the diaphragms. If the problem still continues, then you should replace the complete carburetor. So it is not sure that the replacement of the diaphragms can make a carburetor work. You simply try the cheap solutions before you decide to replace a carburetor which is generally an expensive part.
