The threads in the rings stripped long before the screws were torqued properly. I was able to salvage the item by drilling and tapping the rings, I then used longer screws and tightened less than the specified torque for this size fastener.

For what I am going to use it for it will be fine but I would not recommend it for an out in the field hunting situation. Not very sturdy. On the other hand, if you want a tripod you don't much care what happens with it, this is the one for you.
