I examined the first one closely and i found a tiny little crack that had caused a leak..the replacement part has no issues.. I installed this part in my boat between the gas tank and the motor before the fuel filter for more protection against water contamination. We get a lot of bad gas out here in remote part of alaska. This already has done the job to keep water from reaching the outboard. Would recommend without a doubt.
