Not sure how you get a smaller opening over a 1.75 inch bar without breaking the clamp. Plus, I have to pay $14 return shipping for a part that doesn't fit. Please understand the clamps supplied are called snap clamps. they are designed to push on the roll cage for sung fitment. if you would have pressed it on it would have snapped on and worked. If for any reason during install the clamp was damaged we would send another one at no charge. We have never had a clamp fail since we have been in business over 11 years. Unfortunately you gave us a negative
