Will you be able to reduce or escape your one million-year sentence? That depends on your success in Freedom Wars where you can fight your way through battlefields by destroying abductors. But this wasn't created based on the shoot-everyone-in-sight concept. Rather, this online multiplayer role-playing video game allows you to join up with three other players to battle against enemies and criminals in your quest to be free. Meanwhile, up to four other players can join the action to fight against you. During gameplay, you can choose from five different control schemes and play in the third-person shooter-type or first-person hunter-type gameplay. Freedom Wars for the Sony PS Vita promises hours of entertainment and excitement. Freedom Wars is an amazing action role-playing game that lends itself to old-school direction with modern mechanics. It also brings back co-op action for up to four people and even allows for up to eight if you set it up via an ad-hoc connection. The modes can be competitive as well if you would rather take on your friend rather than work with them. This is one of those rare gems where you get a nice mix of not just adventure but a blend of strategic elements with shooting mechanics as well. You even start your adventure by picking the city that you want to represent and help boost that city in rankings all across the world. You can get really immersed in the world no matter where you go, which is truly a highlight of PlayStation Vita games like this. You are able to customize the way you look and the types of weapons you can use, choose to battle with other Panopticons, and even customize the class you are. The possibilities are endless, and there is a multitude of combinations to choose from on this game for the Vita. This is one of those games that features an amazing story that takes you into a world that definitely needs saving by the right hero. There are many real-world elements that appear in this Sony PS Vita game from SCE Japan Studio, too. The dialogue is in Japanese, but the subtitles can be rendered in English as well as the menu buttons. Along with the online features, you will also be able to enjoy a single-player or multiplayer experience of your choosing without having to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi. As an added bonus, you are even able to play this game via PlayStation TV. From the variety of characters to pick from, the type of combat and missions you can take part in with your Panopticon, and the excellent soundtrack provided, it's no surprise that Freedom Wars is such a great game.
