Packaging seemed adequate, so it’s possible the damage occurred during transit. Thankfully, I was able to repair both issues myself, and the unit now functions as expected. Still, not every buyer would be equipped to fix something like this. A more thorough pre-shipment inspection and functional testing would help avoid surprises.
