There are 4 channels, so it would seem that there are several built-in spares for normal situations. The reason to buy this relay is when you have a low power trigger source that will not operate a normal relay. My source (the XKC-Y25-V) would not actuate a PCB-style relay that only needed 30 ma to actuate, but this relay works with my trigger source.
