Plug it in to an outlet, connect the battery leads and select the type battery to be charged. It automatically sensed the voltage of my battery and adjusted itself for that voltage. The price point was what I wanted to pay and the unit arrived in good condition. The appearance of the unit is likeable and the compact size is a plus. I would buy this charger again.
