Both Books have No missing pages and pages have no cuts or tears.. Pages are white. Book I is in Acceptable Condition It has a long notes written on the first Title Page. Two names including Authors signatures and dates in 1933 are written on the Title Page. "1852-1915" is written on the dedication page. 1 line is underlined on page 211.The Binding is weak, a broken hinge exist between the front cover and the front flyleaf. A starting hinge exist between the back cover and back flyleaf. The cover has splits at the spine creases between the covers. Spine front cover crease split is about 1/2 way up from bottom of book, back cover spine crease split it about 2 inches at top 1/2 inch at bottom. Cover has edge wear and corner tip chips. Book II is in Good condition. Only marks are some library inventory numbers and Ink stamp on Copyright page. And a # bottom next page.Covers have general wear,some library #'s bottom spine cover. Binding strong.”
