As expected, I lose infinity focus, but that's not a problem for a macro lens. Seems to be good quality and attaches tightly to both the lens and camera. The adapter is a little over 8mm or 1/3 of an inch, or a bit smaller than my #1 Pentax extension ring (which is 12mm or .47 inches). I think it will work well for what I need.
