I bought this OOAK skipper doll. It was not noted in the description that her face had been repainted and that the paint was not sealed. When I carefully washed her hair, which was oily and dirty, her repainted make-up washed right off, but her factory paint remained. I contacted the seller in hopes of returning. This is their response. “Hi - This is a vintage item and the buyer is responsible for the care of the item after purchase. Your return is denied as your actions damaged the doll.”

The doll was accurately described with pictures clearly showing the face. The item was sent and received in the condition as described. Unfortunately this buyer used a solution that damaged the doll and now expects the Seller (myself) to pay for her mistake and take a now damaged doll back. I can only guarantee what is shown in the pictures but once received, the buyer must properly take care of it. Had the doll been damaged upon receipt, I would consider a return.

Oh wow! The “solution” was water. The unprofessional repaint wasn’t sealed, so it washed off. The original faded factory paint remained intact because it was sealed properly. It’s poor business practice to blame the buyer for your incorrect description and sloppy salesmanship.
