Shipping at $30 was excessive but I really wanted the hat. I reshaped the crown to my liking with steaming and so am very satisfied. A Resistol like the Akubra in quality.

This item was advertised as “made in occupied Japan,”but did not have it stamped on the bottom like the rest of my collection. It was simply “made in Japan.”

Hello I apologize if you are not happy with your item and if you would like to return it for a refund I will approve it if you would please change to at least neutral since you did not contact me. When I researched this figurine there were two others for sale just like it-both stated "made in occupied Japan" and had "made in Japan" on the base-same as mine shows in the listing photos. I am not an expert in vintage porcelain figurines and rely on research information like this to verify.
