Outside of me personally driving & delivering the package to your home, I'm not sure what I could have done to prevent this situation. I've shipped thousands of gloves over the last 23 years and this is the 1st time I've ever received a packaging related complaint from a buyer. Although what happened is clearly out of my control, I'll take the loss!
