- e***e (24)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThe laser cut parts are very well produced, but the wood selection in my opinion is not suitable. all the ribs are from 1/16 balsa, whereas models of this size usualy use 3/32 balsa sheet. this was certainly the case with the original kit. I built one of these oroginal models in the 1970's, the plan is still available and this shows 3/32 ribs. i can use the ribs as templates to cut from 3/32 balsa to build the model.Reply from: sky-high-rc- Feedback replied by seller sky-high-rc.- Feedback replied by seller sky-high-rc.Had a nice chat with the customer, and we agreed that the latter plan does not state the rib thickness and is therefore open to interpretation for the builder to choose. The customer will now use the 1/16 ribs provided (medium/hard balsa selected). We have sold many of these 1/16 rib sets over the last 15 years with no issues reported. I am happy to cut these ribs in 3/32 with an additional charge if requested.
