        I got it, i'm not an electrician so whether it works or not is a presumption on my part: it seems to. unfortunately it didn't solve my subwoofer noise issue, but that's likely not this thing's fault. seller's prompt and reliable.

        In your specific case, the subwoofer noise you are experiencing would be more attributed to a poor connection with the amplifier, a bad cable, or a fault inside the amplifier unit itself. An AC power conditioner is designed to smooth any electrical noise and interference from other appliances plugged into the same circuit by smoothing out the wave of AC power and maintaining a constant voltage for sensative electronics. It can also act as a surge protector.
