The seller did warn me about the thickness of the leather and I in fact did have to use my belt sander to remove some leather from the part of the leather that attaches to the f-scroll of my The Loar mandolin but after that (and re-treating the bare leather) I am quite pleased with the strap. It is extremely well made and definitely adds to the look of my mandolin.

However..., the end pin/chord jack on my mandolin is much larger than the hole design on the strap. And I was a tight slide for the thickness going through the scroll. Don't misunderstand me..., I wanted a sturdy substantial strap and I will purchase another when the need arises.
