Beautifully preserved with no previous owner’s name or writing. Some hinge splits as shown. Features an elaborately illustrated and embossed green-blue cover with gold stamping on the spine and front. The back cover mirrors the design in blind-stamped relief without text. Spine ends and corners show expected rubwear. All three page edges are marbled, and the endpapers display a delicate blue-on-lime wallpaper-style pattern. The interior pages are clean, unmarked, including the unused presentation page ("To/From"). Introduction by the Hon. John Russell, former U.S. Minister to the Court of China. Frontispiece portrait of Prince Kung of China. The content is divided into three sections: China, Japan, and Corea, including a segment on the China-Japan War.”
