“Tekken 6” is the sixth installment in the Tekken franchise. Past protagonist Jin Kazama emerges as the antagonist in this title. After wrestling away control of the Mishima corporation from his family, Jin declares war on the world. This declaration of war plunges the world into chaos as warfare erupts on every continent. When Jin announces a new King of the Iron Fist Tournament, fighters from around the world enter to try to stop him. This Xbox 360 title features a variety of gameplay modes. The main mode is the Scenario Campaign one. This mode plays out like a 2D, side scrolling action game and lets you experience the story in a new way. In it, you can pick up weapons to damage your enemies, such as guns and knives. You can play this story either alone or with a friend via the online co op feature. Classic modes, such as Vs. and Arcade, make a return in this game as well. Single player fans can find a wealth of content in this Xbox title. Like other games in the franchise, multiplayer plays a large part in this title. Up to 2 players can play either online or offline, and you can battle your friends locally or globally using the Xbox Live servers. The ESRB rated “Tekken 6” T for Teen due to violence, mild language, suggestive themes, and crude humor.“Tekken 6,” like past games in the series, features one on one fighting. Each fighter has their own unique moves that they can string into combo attacks. No two fighters battle the same in this title. This Xbox 360 game features over 30 fighters, which are a mix of new and returning characters. Fans of the franchise can enjoy being able to play as past stars like Paul Pheonix, Yoshimitsu, and Lee. Fresh characters include an android, Alisa, and a matador, Miguel. One of the systems introduced in this Xbox 360 fighting game is the Rage system. When the health of a fighter gets below a certain point, that fighter will do more damage. The bound system is also introduced in this game. This system allows players to juggle opponents off the ground, setting up for some extreme combo opportunities. Each fighter features accessories you can use to customize them. This customization system is deep, giving you the ability to change almost every aspect about a fighter. “Tekken 6” features the graphics engine called the Octave Engine, which developers utilized to emphasize smooth animation with the Tekken games, even going so far as to completely redo a character's move set. The result is fighters who can move realistically and look good both in motion and standing still. In addition, the action in this Xbox title always runs at 60 frames per second, which looks amazing with its 720 pixel HDTV resolution.This Namco title can be an excellent choice whether played alone or with friends. There can be hours of gameplay here with a large number of campaign modes and the huge roster of fighters.
