As her career has broadened from a chart topping contemporary jazz artist to performing on American idol, and as the saxophonist for Aerosmith's 2012 global warming tour, Mindi solidified that trajectory by recording an album that has moments of soul, pop, rock as well as jazz. The list of guests (Gregg Allman, booker t. Jones, Keb' mo', Joe Perry, trombone Shorty, Waddy Wachtel, Max Weinberg, and others) are as diverse as the music. Mindi's vocals on 'i can't lose', 'train,' 'I'll be your home,' (a duet with Keb' mo'), 'just say when' (a duet and co-write with Gregg Allman) really show the dynamic range of this artist. The support of the production team the decoders gives the album a truly timeless, classic vibe.
