Tragedy strikes early in Time and Eternity, when assassins crash the wedding of Toki, the Princess of Kamza, and murder her betrothed Zack. This event causes Toki's second soul Towa to burst forth, and reveals their ability to travel through time. Gamers then set about trying to prevent the wedding tragedy from happening by changing events in the past. But re-writing history often results in unintended consequences. The story is told through the eyes of Zack, who has been reincarnated as the small dragon Drake, but most of the action is split between Toki and Towa.<br><br>Combat takes the form of real-time, one-on-one battles that are initiated randomly as players explore a variety of 3D environments, with Drake always along to provide healing and supplementary attacks. Players gain experience with every battle, and when they level up, the characters automatically alternate between Toki and Towa. Gamers must determine each enemy's attack patterns and then make use of dodges, blocks, melee attacks, and ranged combat to emerge victorious, with Toki initially more adept with magic and ranged weapons, and Towa more skilled with blades and close-quarters combat. A gift system is also in place to let players unlock and buy new abilities for each character.
