I did replace the corks but I usually do that anyway. I got them to hold loose-leaf tea and they each hold an ounce or more of coarsely cut leaves and fruit bits. The wide mouth makes it easy to fill them and spoon the tea out, too. I'm only using two at the moment. They're lovely and I think I got a great deal. A+++ experience all around.
