Normally, 1/4" rollers are chosen, but if the floor is not really flat, you get skip spots. I plan on working in cool weather (it's an outdoor patio), so I could use the 3/8" nap. Don't ever go with thicker than that if you're using 100% solids epoxy, as the roller retains too much material and will get hot and freeze up on you while you are rolling.
