The Canon EF USM has a large f/1.8 aperture combined with a fast shutter speed, making it easy to keep the main object in focus while blurring the background. The resulting image will be crisp all the way to the edges. The prime aspherical lens is constructed with lead-free glass to help correct spherical aberrations. This Canon camera lens is compatible with Canon SLR cameras using the EF mounting and the filter size is 58 mm. The rubber coated focus ring is easy to grip and the front element does not rotate. Adjusting focus on the Canon EF USM is fast and quiet due to the USM (Ultrasonic Motor) design. Full time manual focusing is available if desired. Another important design element included in this wide-angle camera lens is an image stabilizer.
