    The reed plates are poor quality. The tone on the harmonica is half as loud as it should be. I've been playing Golden Melodies for 40 years. I bought the reed plates because I don't like the new GM. So I got the 542 reed plates to replace the old blown out ones. I put the reed plates in. Fastened all the screws. The sound is terrible. I tried loosening the screws to see if I had made them too tight. No diff. The reed plates are bad.

    Customer directly sent us this same message at which point we offered to have him return the item and we'll provide a prepaid return label. Customer has yet to respond, this was weeks ago. Assuming this customer doesn't know how to navigate messages or ebay.
