Lacking the realism of Nigel Mansell's World Championship, the tight control of F-1 Pole Position, and the speed of F-1 Roc II, Red Line: F-1 Racer is behind the pack of racing titles for the Super NES. Cars are customizable, there are 16 tracks to race on from around the world, and players can save their progress in the international tournament, but sub par graphics, jerky animation, and lousy controls mar the game beyond recommendation. Not even a split-screen, two-player mode can save this one from the scrap heap.
