I cannot comment on durability, but on first use, the grip fits camera and ball head perfectly. (I might suggest an indicator [raised bump or indention or white dot] on the back to assist alignment with a ball head clamp. Fast shipping and carefully packaging, the grip is exactly as described. It is appropriately priced and a few grams lighter than the metal/wood Chinese products.

When I'm shooting with smaller lenses (like the OM 17mm f/1.8 mark II lens) I prefer not to have a grip, but when I'm shooting with the 100-400mm f/5-6.3 mark I lens, I prefer to have a deeper hand grip on the camera. I saw a recommendation for this grip on the mu-43.com forum, and I bought it for my OM-1. On the original grip, there was a cut out for a hand strap on the bottom that was painful. The seller redesigned the grip & sent it to me. The new grip feels great.
