The Canon EF 40mm F/2.8 STM lens is a lightweight pancake-style lens that is easy to use and maneuver when taking pictures. You can snap photos in almost any lighting with this lens because of its F/2.8 aperture. Its aspherical construction gives you even magnification that does not distort around the edges of the pictures you take, and effective coating also reduces ghosting and distortion from flares. You can take close-up pictures with the lens as close to the subject as 11.81-inches. STM technology lets the lens adjust quietly and the combination of elements and diaphragm blades lets you give images different soft-focus backgrounds.
