The optical drive and the adapter work great. One minor issue is that the drive should probably be shipped in a box. One of the plastic feet on the optical drive that is meant to go into the mounting bracket did break off as a result of the poor packaging. This was a non-issue for me in the grand scheme of things, but something to consider.
