This hat purchased sold only 1/2 of my asking price at $10. For hats that are over $25 I will ship fully bagged and boxed for the low chance a box is left in a downpour of rain. Anything under $20, using a box all seams taped is plenty, as you found out. In the thousands of hats sold the last 6 or 7 years I think this is the second time I've heard they wished a bag was used, the other a $7 hat got wet and color bled but the buyer wouldn't send a pic to prove
