There was grease applied and was enough for casual usage. However there was a little slop in one of the spots where the bearing sits in the case. Still not a bad setup. I planned on changing the case. Parts are very close to HPI and without a discerning eye one couldn't tell the difference. I only recommend adding more grease if its scarce like mine was. Other than that it seems to be a faithful copy.
