Thank you for your note Serena. I am so pleased to have a programme from the Coventry Hippodrome. It was a great art deco style building and even survived the bombing in the war. It is difficult sometimes to find who played there and when even with the internet. In my experience of going there (in later years) the theatre had a wonderful sound! So that's how I think the Bartered Bride would have been. Alas I also remember seeing the theatre being demolished in 2002. Best wishes from Simon
