Now this enterprise-class 300 GB hard drive is available for the average computer user in need of additional or replacement internal storage. The Western Digital hard drive consumes 35 percent less power than previous models, ensuring a longer life and lower operating temperature. The VelociRaptor hard drive also includes No Touch ramp load technology, where the recording head of the drive never comes into direct contact with the disk, which enables less wear and tear on both the recording head and disk platters.
