In retrospect after additional research, the item was overpriced given that it will not function at all without the clips, and the seller did not make that abundantly clear in the ad to my satisfaction. So I bought a useless paperweight that was still at least $10 too expensive compared to other similar listings

I just received the CD player on Friday, and being loading it up with CDs. The shipping box was nicely put together with the appropriate protection. The unit is very clean, inside out. The whole purchasing and receiving process was very smooth.
