The cheap housing that holds the 12v nuts/bolt cracked and turned as I was tightening the nuts as I connected the 12v wires. The two 12v nuts were touching though I separated them and the starter does work but I would not buy another one. We are sorry to hear that the solenoid was damaged during installation. Please be sure to take pre-caution when tightening down the Power Bolt in the future. Too much pressure can crack the Plastic housing if not done properly. We are glad to hear that the unit is functioning. We didnt receive any messages from the customer Before/after feedback, but we will follow up to ensure that the unit is still installed & functional. Thx RPG
