The Legend of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors collide as gamers join Link for classic hack-and-slash action in Hyrule Warriors Legends. An updated version of the Wii U title Hyrule Warriors, this game includes a new epilogue and characters from The Wind Waker. The sorceress Cia is attempting to take control of Hyrule by releasing hordes of monsters into the world, and players must fight back on battlefields taken from franchise lore, such as Death Mountain from Ocarina of Time, Twilight Field from Twilight Princess, and Skyloft from Skyward Sword.<br><br>While in combat, gamers can find and use items from Zelda lore, such as the bow, the hookshot, bombs, and the ocarina, and each warrior possesses unique weapons and attacks that can be upgraded by spending collected Rupees at the Bazaar. Players can now tap on portraits during combat to switch characters, each battle culminates in a confrontation with a powerful boss, and the new Smash Boost Power effect lets four characters team up to restore the Magic Gauge during boss fights. Advancing the story in Legendary mode lets gamers unlock new characters, while Adventure mode offers the same bonuses on a map inspired by the overworld in the original Legend of Zelda, and the My Fairy mode lets players befriend, customize, and head into battle with fairies.
