Item was packaged well, shipped and arrived in a timely fashion. However, there are a few defects with the typewriter which were not mentioned in the listing: one of the lesser-used typebar mechanisms had apparently been cannibalized for the purpose of repairs and was no longer functional; more significantly, the keys and escapement lock up regularly due to a fault in the mechanism, able to be worked around but quite jarring. Nonetheless, it was not advertised as being in working condition.
