It fits the rules for carry-on luggage. 2. It doesn't have impractical external compartments with straps and buckles or an ugly metal plaque with a generic brand name stamped on it. 3. The zipper goes all the way down so you can easier locate the items at the bottom. The negatives are how it was crumpled when it arrived (a bit disrespectful to the craftsmanship) and the shoulder strap feels a bit thin.
