This design choice provides flexibility for adjusting the angle of the switch when configuring the handle stiffness using the provided M8 hex key. A stiffer handle setting allows the metal plate to travel a greater distance before engaging the switch (shift up/down), while a softer setting triggers the switch with a shorter travel distance.
