Within an hour of receiving it, I installed it as a D: drive in a PC. Did not power up, so I had to use the included power pigtail. Spun up, formatted it, and started a huge transfer. It ran quiet for the next nine hours and was only warm to the touch! Finished that, removed from PC and removed the pigtail to fit into an external USB enclosure. Spun right up and has been running fine! Wish I had bought two! Second positive purchase from goharddrive.
