Space Fury begins with a close-up shot of an Alien Commander taunting you and telling you to prepare for battle against his space fleet, which consists of alien scouts, cruisers, warships and destroyers. The Sega Arcade version has voice effects, but the ColecoVision game simply has running text beneath the image.<br><br>Once the action begins, you control a fighter that rotates on an internal axis, similar to the ship in Asteroids. You must fly around the screen, shooting fireballs, Bruiser cruisers, alien scouts, warships and enemy destroyers. Some of the ships start out small and join together to form larger ships.<br><br>When you have cleared a round, you get to dock with one of three mother ships, which enables you to increase your firepower. The game ends only when all of your ships are destroyed. Then you are given a rating of your performance by the Alien Commander.
