Reviews
True to Kendig's style, even the secondary cast leapt off the pages, taking up permanent residence in my heart, making me wish each one could get their own book. I absolutely loved Mitch's thread -- prepare yourself for an emotional ride! Despite not being a protagonist, he's vying with Dean for the spot as my favorite team member.   While some questions are answered, many more are raised, leaving me once again desperately pleading for the next installment so that I can put together the final pieces of this mind-boggling mystery and uncover the identity of Raptor's arch nemesis.   Military suspense fans won't want to miss any part of this fast-paced series., Again... LOVE this new author!! Yeah for Ronie Kendig creating a fast-paced series full of faith, love, courage and current events! I reviewed book 1 back in July and loved it too. The Raptor team is fascinating, fun to read and heart moving. Their lives are interesting and very real. Once I jump in to this series, or any other Ronie Kendig book, I'm lost for a few hours. This book not only takes on the lives of soldiers while they are away, it also shows how their home life, their family life and their personal struggles can effect their jobs in the military. I'm sure this series hits home in a strong way for those who have bravely served and for those who wait at home for their soldiers to return. Really excited about reading more about the Raptor 6!, I, personally, enjoyed this military crafted story much better than Raptor 6. It was more of a struggle for the two characters who had to deal with their past issues and come together to find love, God, and true freedom. The writing was riveting, especially with the details of the frozen tundra and the wind whipping through the characters thin clothes. I felt like I was climbing that mountain with them as they struggled for their lives., Ronie Kendig is a master at weaving several sub-plots together, toggling back and forth between them simultaneously, and then bringing them all together at the end. The action in HAWK is non-stop with suspense at every turn. There are a multitude of characters in this story, but the hero and heroine, Hawk and Fekiria, are both the strong, resilient type. Trouble seems to find them both very easily. This inspirational thriller is about trying too hard to prove one's self, about being afraid of relationships and about having a relationship with God rather than being religious. Ms. Kendig lets us catch up on other characters of whom she has told their stories in previous books in this Quiet Professionals series, as well as her Breed Apart series. HAWK is inspirational suspense at its very best!, Ronie Kendig has done it again! My laundry piled up, dust bunnies multiplied, and dishes overflowed in the sink as I was totally enthralled with Hawk. I had to keep reading to find out what happened next. The characters leap off the page and capture my heart.. I can't wait for the next amazing title from this series.
