The name may have changed, but Brite Futures (f/k/a Natalie Portman's Shaved Head) still knows how to write infectious indie-pop music. This energetic quartet fills dance floors with an arsenal of four-on-the-floor beats, super-sized synths, off-the-wall lyrics, and oh yeah - lots and lots of hand claps. The new album from Seattle's fun-loving quintet is a youthful swaggering mix of synth-happy pop, rock, funk, disco, and New Wave that the band likes to describe as "punk rock ABBA disco Osmonds with chainsaws."
