However, USPS must have placed it between two heavy boxes because the seller's shipping box was partially crushed and there is a slight bow in the 18" plastic scale so that it will not lay completely flat. I am using it, but I have to press it down for it to lay flat before I draw a line. The scale was as described. As far as its value, I made four lower offers that were declined by ebay before I paid the full price the seller asked.
