Fix: by using a hammer and a small chisel or punch to slightly distort or dimple the diameter of the cap. Place the cap on its side on two pieces of wood with the expanded diameter in the slot between two pieces of wood (use duct tape to hold the cap to the wood). Lightly, indent the inside diameter to create a distortion outward. Test until it will only insert about 1 mm. Hammer home on a block of wood placed on the cap.
