Upgrading a single-core Celeron @2.2 GHz to the Core2 Quad @3.0 GHz was like upgrading from dial-up to cable. Easily the best $30 I've spent in awhile. Oh, and it supported the installed memory DIMMs at faster speeds than the Celeron, so basically the CPU came with a free RAM speed boost.

I think the scratch impacted the amount of RAM I was able to use, but the seller was VERY responsive and issued me a refund FAST for an amount we agreed on where I would keep the processor since tariffs and shipping would be expensive for both of us.
