Our old one definitely seems a bit heavier but perhaps that is due to the outer material. This one definitely has thinner outer material. The inner filling on both I would say is the same. It is already chilly here and seems to do the job for both of us. We will keep this one for summer and the old one yet for winter. Good product for the price. Great seller.
