Set in Prohibition-era New Jersey, "Boardwalk Empire: The Complete Second Season" follows Nucky Thompson, treasurer of Atlantic City, as he navigates the complexities of political and personal life. The cast of this drama includes Steve Buscemi as Nucky, Kelly Macdonald as Nucky's wife, Michael Shannon as FBI agent Van Alden, Shea Wigham as Nucky's brother Eli, and Michael Pitt as Nucky's former assistant Jimmy, among others. Although Nucky has come out on top in the 1920 election, he is now under federal investigation for vote tampering. "Boardwalk Empire: The Complete Second Season" explores the complicated alliances and relationships of the characters no matter which side of the law they fall on. The 12-episode story arc of "Boardwalk Empire: The Complete Second Season" is covered in a five-disc DVD set with bonus content that includes an interactive dossier of characters, a 15-minute recap of the first season narrated by show creator Terence Winter, and a featurette called "The Money Decade," which looks at the period of history in which the drama is set.
